Engagment Pictures

And...We're Engaged!
Let me start by saying that Elvis and I have only been together 4 months! It’s been the best 4 months of my life! We met January 10, 2009, when co-workers/friends, introduced us. Both of us thought “Eh, we’ll meet, but nothing is going to happen.” I specifically thought “There is no way I can date someone named Elvis!”
Our first date was on a whim. On January 10, 2009, we met at Starbucks where we had caramel frappucinos. Our second date was Olive Garden and our third date was Fast Lanes, which is where we had our first kiss! He then took me to what he calls “The Shack”. It is land and a “the shack” he inherited from his beloved Grandpa. I knew shortly after that I loved him!
We simply cannot get enough of each other. We see each other every day and I fall in love with him more and more. He’s the greatest thing that has ever happened to me. I had hoped we would get engaged, but I had no idea he was a step ahead of me.
On May 9, 2009, his sister's boyfriend through hera surprise party for graduating from the University of Arkansas. After a quick McDonald's run, we went back to Elvis' house. I was about to change & brush my teeth when he went to his bedroom and came back with a grin. I asked “What were you doing in the bedroom?” a few times and he said “Nothing...” So I said “Well, I’m going to go change.” (At least I said something like that…no one can ever remember what they said at that moment…ha!!) and I turned my back to him, he grabbed my hand, turned me back around and he was down on his knee. He said “Sandy, will you marry me?!” and I said “Seriously? Are you serious?” He said “Yes!!” and I said “Seriously? I mean, Yes!” He told me that he wanted to wait for our trip to Las Vegas in June, but he couldn’t wait any longer. He was too excited. It was intimate and private! I couldn’t have asked for a better proposal. AND THE RING - It’s beautiful!!!
The first person I called was my best friend, Ashley. I called her and said “Wake your a** up, ‘cause I’m engaged!!!” She screamed and her husband, Nan, thought something horrible had happened. Poor Nan!
It was so exciting! We told our families next and both of our parents are so happy for us!!
